Before each new burn, ensure you trim any excess carbon buildup from the wick
As your candle burns, carbon naturally accumulates on the wicks. While this is a normal occurrence, relighting a wick with carbon buildup (mushroom) can result in excess soot and heat. Therefore, it's essential to trim your wicks to a length of 1/4" when you see this carbon buildup on them.
This will help hprevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting. Drafts can also blow lightweight curtains or papers into the flame where they could catch fire.
Make sure that during the first burn, you allow your candle to reach a full melt pool. Natural waxes have a 'memory,' and if you do not allow your candle to reach a full melt pool, the candle can create a tunnel, which will result in poor-quality burning
When not in use, store candles in a cool, dark place away from sunlight to prevent fading or discoloration
Try to limit each burn session to 3-4 hours to avoid overheating the container or causing the wick to mushroom.

My 11 oz candles come in a ceramic jar with a bamboo lid, making them not only beautifully heavy but also reusable. They stand at 4 inches tall and have a width of 3.5 inches. The burn time is up to 50 hours, but since I'm known to fill them a little extra (shh, it's a secret), the burning time may vary. Materials include a coconut soy wax mix, top-notch fragrance oils combined with essential oils, cotton wicks, and those eco-friendly bamboo lids.
